Proper early season downhill racing weather greeted riders in Oil City, PA for the first Allegheny Gnar race of the season. 48 hours of rain followed by temps in the mid-30s made the first 2 days of practice extra gnarly. Sunday the sun came out but the race course stayed soft, making for a fun and physically demanding race (see videos below for some great crash reels!)
The top racer on the day was Addison Geyer, dominating Pro Women/ Cat 1 by setting both fastest splits and winning by over 7 seconds to take home the top prize of $600 with a time of 2:14.96. Kristy Fiola and Carley Young rounded out the podium.
Jake Rahenkamp put down a clean run and finished with the top time of the weekend to win Pro Men at 1:50.38. Cooper Pleva and Cole Miller rounded out the podium.

The race for the top amateur cash prize was the closest race of the day, all 3 riders coming from the Cat 1/2 Age 17-29 Class with Noah Geyer taking 1st (1:57.02), Titus LaMay 2nd (1:57.53, and Nevin Stiles 3rd (1:58.54).
